The Vikan hygiene system for manual cleaning is one of the most comprehensive systems in the world. It includes more than 100 different cleaning tools, which are all tailor made for the specific cleaning jobs in the food processing industry and similar sectors, where heavy demands are made on hygiene.


One of the most important issues of optimal hygiene is the prevention of cross-contamination. To minimaize cross-contamination, divide a premise or operational area into visually separated zones, and ensure that each zone has its own set of cleaning tools.
Vikan has developed a colour coded cleaning system where cleaning tools are colour coded and matched for visually separated zones.
